Arglwydd

Arglwydd
The Welsh word for a lord, or one of the lesser rulers within Wales. When translated into Latin, dominus was used. Arglwydd replaced the Welsh word brenin in the late 12c and the early 13c when the overlordship of the English king was acknowledged.
